Set up personalised programme for each individual to improve literacy and maths skills and other educational needs, practical skills development including engaging the voluntary services of local businesses including garage, gardening, painting and decorating and bricklaying companies.
Worked in partnership with Gillingham Football club to offer football training sessions.
Creation of recreational/educational visit to local library, museums, leisure centre and other places of interest.
Engagement with schools, local educational testing services, local authorities, police, probation, healthcare and social services.
Arranged for drug and alcohol awareness organisations to come in to run workshops to reduce misuse of substances.
Deeper Insight perception tool used to identify blocks to change.
NLP and positive reinforcement strategies were used as part of the behavioural change management programme.
The Results:
At the end of the project, 16 students, aged between 11- 16 all returned to mainstream education appropriate to their educational needs.

One left to take up an apprenticeship as a car mechanic.
A 12 month Follow up revealed that the 16 remained at school and no longer displayed challenging or disruptive behaviour and the other individual was doing well in his apprenticeship and the company employing him had plans to offer him a job when he qualified.

These care... read moreTo design and create a training programme for carers working in the community with clients who had both learning difficulties and mental health issues.
These care workers were not office based and although part of a ‘team’, were often lone workers in a community setting. Their challenge was to know how to recognise when something was wrong, what they could do, who to call when necessary and how they should behave to prevent any escalation of distress in their client.
The areas of mental ill health and learning disability with the many different diagnosis are vast. One of the challenges was to turn complex medical knowledge into user friendly language and at a level that was appropriate for delegate needs.
To teach them how to recognise and deal with symptoms and ways they could deal with the behaviours of their client group.
To teach them strategies they could use to keep themselves and their clients safe.
To test their knowledge/understanding about this subject at the end of the training.

Designed and delivered a training course covering main types of mental illness including dementia awareness.
