Challenge:

The owner wished to disengage himself from the business but his two directors lacked confidence and strategic direction.

Solution:

An open-ended coaching programme for the directors and other key personnel. I used the development of the business strategy as the forum to develop the directors' confidence. The remit was extended to other topics, such as customer service and management skills, which were developed with staff.

Results:

Directors gained confidence and the owner sold the business shortly after the end of the coaching programme.

Challenge:

A manager was responding badly to heavy workloads and affecting his colleagues. Client budget was limited and required a quick intervention.

Solution:

A highly focussed programme of five 90 minute sessions which established that the heavy workload was irrelevant and went on to assist the manager deal with the real, much deeper, issue.

Results:

A major shift in the manager. Periodic contact with the senior manager since coaching ended confirms that the change is permanent and he is very pleased with the manager's new approach. I have been asked to propose a programme of coaching and workshops for the entire UK office.
