Managed the asset finance business for Bibby Financial Services and its ultimate parent, Bibby Line Group Ltd. Achievements 1. Bought a leasing company (Bibby Leasing Ltd – formerly known as Leeds Leasing Ltd) in November 2005 for £5m gross cash consideration (£3.5m after deferred tax assets benefit) with a loan book in excess of £20m. 2. Grew the lending book of the business over 1100% in 4 years 3. Delivered over 300% growth in profitability, turning around pre tax losses in 2002 to net profitability by 2006. 4. Won a National Industry Award - Bibby Asset Finance Ltd was also voted Lessor of the Year in 2004 by NACFB and Business Money.

The business was owned by quoted company Black Arrow Group plc (listed on London Stock Exchange) and my direct report was the Chairman and shareholder representing 70% of voting stock. Achievements 1. Successfully running a self financing captive leasing business that made an after tax IRR return on capital of 40% p.a. i.e. an 8 fold after tax return on capital. 2. I improved and upgraded the business’ internal systems and increased performance by reducing bad debts significantly. 3. The business was repositioned as a “venture lessor” in a competitive market, whilst maintaining returns on investment.
